With the launch of the IS convertible, rumors started almost immediately that Lexus might build a high-performance F version of the retractable hard-top. Now it appears those hoping for such a drop-top beast will get their wish.

According to a report by Car & Driver, a convertible version of the IS-F will be due out in 2011.

i personally felt that the is series shouldve been kept a sedan. coupe killed it. the convertible killed it even more. bringing more shame to toyota. should just bring back that supra.

IMHO, when you try to convert a coupe/sedan into a 'vert, the result is terrible.

i just think sedan to coupe to convertible was the worst concept that come out of toyotas mind.

IMO, the IS vert is not that bad. I like the rear tails. Not a fan of verts in general, but it should be interesting to see what they come up with.

^^ Yup I love the vert's rear tails.

I think if the IS would've been a coupe in the first place, people would not complain about the lack of space.

i just saw an IS vert a couple days ago driving with the top down and that thing is very pretty. i'm not a fan of convertibles myself but that was probably one of the best looking ones so far.

oh and the g37 vert is nasty.

manufacturers need to bring the targa top back to life on sports cars.

IMO, the IS vert is not that bad. I like the rear tails. Not a fan of verts in general, but it should be interesting to see what they come up with.

Saw one at McGrath this past weekend. Its much better in person but I wouldnt take it over the SC430. There are better convertibles out there IMO.
